A new image was posted to Twitter by Boeing showing the F-15 with a nose mounted IRST. Though this isn't an official confirmation of a nose mounted IRST, it must be on somebodies mind for them to publish a photo with an IRST in the nose.

I wonder if the US Air Force will adopt a nose mounted IRST for a future variant of the F-15 EX? The lack of integrated IRST has been of concern for a while now on US Air Force and Navy jets, especially as they played an important role in pioneering the technology on the F-14.

Cracks In KC-46 Tankers Halt All Deliveries

The USAF is inspecting its fleet of 89 KC-46s to see if the problem is systemic and Boeing is working to figure out a fix.

The Air Force will inspect its entire fleet of 89 KC-46A Pegasus aerial refueling tankers after cracks were found on two of the four new planes set to be sent to the Military Delivery Center, the Air Force told The War Zone exclusively. The issue was discovered by Boeing, which makes the jets, the Air Force said.
