FCPA Is basically what makes US arms deal is bit "cleaner" compared to the others, no bribes. The act was enacted in 1977 as Lockheed Martin F-104 scandal revealed. Where Lockheed official bribed some countries's officials e.g Japan and German to advance purchase of F-104.

With Trump pausing the enforcement, would that mean Bribes and lavish entertains back in the menu for US MIC ?

Bribes are not new tho in arms dealing world, with big names like Leonardo (in fact they changed name to Leonardo in the first place was because of Bribes scandal afaik) also not long they got their hands wet in our AW-101 deal and apparently Indian AW-101 too. Chinese arms bribes are coming in form of lavish banquet to sweeten the lobby, this is what i heard so far from those naval officers going there, which greater compared to EU deal (not with Italy). SAAB being the strictest in this respect that they ended up closing their office here.

More DOGE-related disaster, this time employees of the Nuclear National Security Administration (NNSA), an agency in charge of military applications of nuclear technology, were abruptly fired.

Great comment about just how damaging this is to US national security:

FCPA never really stopped US companies from bribing foreign officials, it mostly just made things more convoluted and expensive.

Pausing FCPA enforcement won't only reduce compliance costs for US companies operating abroad, but will also allow Trump to further shrink the Department of Justice's workforce.
