US Army rethinking its entire armoured inventory, it seems. Australia must be please to have just bought a load of Abrams the US Army thinks are obsolescent.

They already stopped development of Abrams SEPV4 so I guess this was likely to follow. General Dynamics has developed the AbramsX, but I am not sure if that will meet the requirements post 2040...

DDG-125 is the third Arleigh Burke-class destroyer to be commissioned in 2023, offsetting the retirement of four Ticonderoga-class cruisers. Of the 27 Ticonderoga-class cruisers commissioned 1983-1994, only thirteen now remain in service. Additionally, three Independence-class and two Freedom-class Littoral Combat Ships were commissioned in 2023, offset by the retirement of four Freedom-class lemons LCS.

Good catch! Didn't think about that myself! Not sure if this quiet supersonic technology will work out, but I think its nice to see more X-Planes being made. They have such a rich history of building unique aircraft, some of which contributed significantly to pushing forward aircraft design that they should always continue to investigate the boundaries with actual physical large flying aircraft.

EDIT: I hope it gets added to Microsoft Flight Simulator. Would be a great addition!
