So, how can you explain that the USS Boxer (5th fleet) is in the same state like the ships of the 7th fleet ?

That's just surface corrosion. Easily treatable. The ship had just transited to the Gulf region from San Diego.

This surface corrosion is nothing new.

US Navy ships have been busy for decades. They are no more rusty than years gone by. Just my opinion.

This picture of the Oriskany in dry dock were taken in Yokosuka, Japan during 1972–1973 West Pac. During that West Pac Cruise Oriskany had to go into dry dock twice in 1972 because she dropped a screw along with several feet of propeller shaft into the Gulf of Tonkin on two separate occasions."Bob Canchola, BT3, USS Oriskany 1971–1973

Anlsvrthng, Each one of us is entitled to his/her own opinion. My opinions are based on my 20 years of service with the US Navy from August 1971 until August 1991 & other active duty USN sources... I respect your opinion and you have some very valid points. I cannot answer for what admirals and other mouthpieces for the US Navy have to say. Or explain why they lie at times. Not I cannot. I'm not the judge of men. I've provided links to several thousand US Navy photos of the seventh fleet and USS Boxer. At this time I'm done discussion this issue. Thank you. You have a blessed day.

Thanks for posting the Arleigh-Burke report. That's an eye opener!
I've been wondering about like four dozen ABs not included in the audit (I noticed there're so called warships in the USN inventory which don't even sail like most of the LCSs);

now visited wiki page of the AB class and going from top of

First off you can't count on wiki for up to date information on the US Navy. I went to Gonzalez US Navy page and the history stopped in 2008. Someone has dropped the ball on that for 12 years.

Now if you follow the links below you will see that Gonzalez has been deployed several times since 2006. In the first link go to page 112. That will take you to 2006. The second link is about Gonzalez 2019 deployment. I hope this is the information you need.

No argument about it, but other hand it is easy to fix.

So if there is no time for it then there is the issue.

It was a wartime (Vietnam) surge in asset requirements.

If the ships looks like that then at the moment the USA NAVY stretch the resources as far as during the Vietnam war.

It is not a personal issue with you, or with your past.

I can be wrong, my explanation can be bad , and i am happy to bow any provable chain of logic with plausible supportive data.

I don't have access to real (classified) information, all analysis that I can access filtered thought "secret" agencies, subjective journalist / propaganda machines / interest groups and owners, so all that left to assess capabilities / capacities are the first hand photos / raw data and the common sense , used without any prejudice .

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The U.S. military is preparing to report a more than 50% jump in cases of traumatic brain injury stemming from Iran’s missile attack on a base in Iraq last month, U.S. officials told Reuters on Monday.

The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity ahead of an announcement, said there were over 100 cases of TBI, up from the 64 previously reported last month.

Maybe the military units needs defensive capability.

Time for the USA to get quotes for Pantsirs and S-350/400 .

Because those systems are doing so well... as Israeli target practice and Shooting down Friendly aircraft.
What they needed was a PAC system. they didn’t have one as the Iraqi government won’t let them deploy it.

They had on sight a set of ground mounted Phalanx system the Centurion. However those are little use beyond cruise missile, artillery lighter class MLRS and mortars.

You made my day : D
Frankly, I had a very good laugh.

You know, it is an anonymous public forum, but even in this case I think it advisable to have a basic level of information : P

By my best knowledge the S-300 / 400 hasn't got friendly fire incidents, the Syrian Air Force shoot down a Russian plane with S- 200, but that system hasn't had Russian compatible friend-foe system.

Now, other hand the Patriot had too many friendly fire accident, so the USA Air Force central command (or whatever of the name of the most senior chaps in that force ) preserve the launch authority , so the batteries can't launch missile without prior authorisation .

So, even if during the Iraq attack a patriot battery detect the missiles they have to phone Washington, and ask the highest person in the airforce chain of command to launch a missile (and if they unlucky they can only leave a message in the mailbox ) : D

Other hand, the Patriot failed to protect the most important Saudi oil plant just few month ago.

And finally, apart from you no one else think the Patriot has any business with missile defence : )

But these are basically inconsequential, says Jack Watling, a land warfare expert at the Royal United Services Institute who advises Gulf militaries.

“The Patriots are kind of irrelevant,” Watling told CNBC in a phone interview. “The track record of Patriot engaging missiles of any kind is pretty awful, they very rarely hit the target.” The other issue, he says, is that it’s designed for shooting down high-altitude ballistic missiles, not the cruise missiles and drones used in Saturday’s attack.

So, are you sure you have better assessment about the Patriot capabilities than the chap who make a living from it ?

oh please we have gone over the Iranian missile attacks on Saudi Arabia. No Patriots were there. I red just the other day Greece was shipping pacs to Saudi Arabia to bluster there defense.
Meanwhile Syria who has those vaunted Russian systems regularly takes strikes where they are even on the systems themselves.
