No kidding Japan had a strong leftist movement up till the 1930s.

After the US-backed LDP came to hold power all the way from the 1940s, there is no longer a socialist/communist/leftist movement in Japan.

Japanese got high on their postwar miracle and now will face a slow and chronic decline, hugging their waifu pillows to sleep while wondering why there are permanently stagflating or deflating.

Do you guys think Kharkiv will be taken in a day? If so, do you think an encirclement on Ukrainian units still on the eastern front is possible?
Imo Kharkiv will suddenly fall like Herat, Afghanistan. Furious resistance for a few days then rapid collapse when the defenders run out of morale or supplies. The Russians are finally bringing their serious firepower to bear on the city outskirts, this is their Plan B.

Encirclement is almost certain because the Ukrainians stuck in the East can't disengage with the Russians or they'll get attacked from behind and routed. Even the best units in Ukraine aren't trained for this kind of thing.

But given the shaky coordination of the different Russian units so far, who knows, maybe an Ukrainian miracle can happen.

And its not only that. You also need to build special LNG facilities.

The at least 3 years period is far too optimistic. Make it 7+ years and then we speak
Yup. Regasification terminals, and pipelines too, and more dredging of marine channels to cater for increased traffic as you would have to add more docking space. Many years of work. Looks like I am gonna get more pay rises soon lol...

Confirmed by other sources... This war was a win for the US, I wouldn't be surprised if they have been pushing it behind the scenes.
I think that is not going to happen, like most of Europe the Germans will be dealing with stagflation, so budgets are gonna be very tight for some time. Usually what they say in public and reality are different things.
