Finally the Russians bombed a TV station. What took them so long? Enemy communications, especially the media should be the first to go! That building is a legitimate dual-use enemy infrastructure in a war. That is according to NATO doctrine. Among the first things to get bombed in Yugoslavia and Iraq are the TV stations. Humanitarianism be damned, this is war! Information is a most powerful weapon in any war. Allowing the enemy to communicate effectively is akin to self-sabotage.
I understand Putin's intentions of trying not to make life too hard for his fellow Slav brothers. But in general, the Western Ukrainian populace just won't give a damn. Losing Crimea to the Russians, and 7 years of being told that Russia is the big bad evil invading Eastern Ukraine has made them very anti-Russia. This is in addition to historical fascist ideology prevalent in Western Ukraine. Even if Russia fights with its hands tied, those hateful Ukrainians just won't care. They will never accept the Russians as benevolent liberators.
There were many videos of Ukrainian civilians protesters blocking roads, and telling the Russians to: "F off back to Russia!", followed by "Glory to Ukraine!". The Russian convoy then just meekly backed off and drove onto another route, to the cheers of the protesters. I would bet that those 'protesters' must have informed the position of those Russian convoys to Ukrainian AT squads. Definitely via regular 4G communication. Russian soldiers paid with their lives for being kind to these 'protesters'. The 4G networks in Ukraine needs to be taken out ASAP!
