I suspect that Zelensky will agree some kind of deal with Russia in return for the EU fast tracking membership.

The Ukrainian woman said that the Ukrainian government is a puppet of the west and not an elected one. That they control the media, closing the one that doesn't tell what they want. And a lot of Ukrainian even in Kiev are quite pleased that the Russian invade. Commentators are flabberghasted.

I read it and still makes no sense to me.
The only explanation I can think of is they sold off all the plane parts in a corruption spree so few of them were ready for this invasion.

Some sort of military neutrality in exchange for economic integration with the EU. If the Russians (or, well, Ukrainians) are savvy, they can negotiate some sort of deal that lets Ukraine be the half-way point between the EU and Russia (which, lol, that was the status quo pre nordstream, no?) and let Ukraine develop its economy as the economic broker between Russia and EU.
