I heard Crimean Front was basically encountering no resistance except yesterday, where the Ukrainians attempted a major counter offensive (10,000 strong). Don't know the results yet. If it's going well today then I imagine they beat off the counter attack?

From what I am seeing there are 2 axis of attacks. One of them is towards the East to linkup with the separatist regions (this is where there is heavy resistance) (progress has been made here)

The other, is to the West towards Odessa. So far, this one has minimal to no resistance to Russian forces. I expect we will get more news on the progress of this in some hours

Yup. The last true good German chancellor was Gerhard Schroder. He opposed the Iraq war in 2003, and was pushing for more EU openness with Eurasia. Don't know if his intentions were honest, since he is a board member of Gazprom today. But Germany under him was quite progressive at that time.

Washington then played with the German elections and installed their pet, Angela Merkel in 2005. Angela Merkel pulled Germany back to Atlanticism again. She did have a few clashes with Trump, but she is still subservient to America. Nothing like Schroder's defiance to Bush Jr's America.

Olaf Scholz today looks very much like your typical spineless US-ally country leader. He looks even more spineless than Macron. At best, he had abit of Merkel's pragmatism. But we better not keep our hopes up. Germany is pretty much a colony of the US.

we are against the crimes in Syria

but

1-Ukraine is in Europe so close to home so many European are more concerned
2- Assad was hostile to Europe not exactly a friend, Ukraine is a Allie
3- Ukraine Are white Christian and Syria Muslims so naturally Europe are closer to Ukraine

so why would Europe show same concern for Syria as it does Ukraine
