Most likely inspecting the damage and or cause of destruction and evaluating if anything is salvageable.
I've seen some transcripts about that interrogation. This man is the commander of the 74th Russian Motorized Brigade.
That's a few hours. But I remember that one of the interrogator's questions was whether Belarus was supporting the Russians, he said Belarus fully supported invading Ukraine from the north.
Russian strategy is to push the enemy back into "cauldrons" where they get wiped out by massive artillery bombardment.
Do they have more than one?

The only international talk that you should have is either with Putin (if he even wants to speak with you) or with Xi to mediate. Anyone else, and its just hot air
Airborne? They have only one so far that we know of however they have atleast two dozen A-50U in working order. A-100 is the newer AWACS that hasn’t been produced in sufficient numbers yet.

1. Control the airspace, roads, and airports (draw opponents out to destroy by air or artillery)
2. Avoid going into cities （limited casualties)
3. Avoid hitting civilian infrastructures, gas/elec/water/4G appear to be working in all cities
4. Waiting for reinforcement or logistics to catch up? (They must be running low on everything)

Ukraine was just a pawn in the bigger game between West and East.
Sounds like Zel has realised that NATO were playing footsie with him and now he's willing to compromise and agree to Ukraine neutrality.
