The one with a mushroom cloud looks scary if you're a civilian, I bet many thought it was a nuke.

Internet experts who were talking about how Russian tanks would getting stuck in mud looking stupid right now.

I don't doubt the news was actually real. BJ News is a liberal outlet partially owned by the infamous Southern Daily Group. I won't be surprised if the whole event was coordinated with US NGOs such as China Digital Times to begin with.

Also, BJ News cyberbullied an abandoned child just last month and drove him to suicide. It caused national outrage and stayed on Weibo trending for days. The paper should be shut down then. At minimal, as a Beijinger I want Beijing municipal government to take over BJ News and reboot the whole organization. If Southern Daily wants to be a group of traitor - kids killers, they should do it under their own banner.

Funny thing is I've talked to a friend of mine about this possibility 3 weeks ago. The Dnieper river flows through Ukraine and down to the Crimean peninsula. Before all this started, the Ukrainian government has shut off the majority of the fresh water flowing down to Crimea, therefore making it very difficult for the people living there to get fresh water flowing. Russia has truck in lots of fresh drinking water just enough to sustain the people in Crimea but they can't grow any crops. So definitely Russia would want to at least control that river and put the current Kiev government or regime out of business.

West-Europeans and North Americans need a lesson. Thankfully there is one person in this world who is willing to pull the trigger to give them a bit of spanking. Many in the second and third world are tired of their hegemonic policies which are disturbing, wrecking and destroying lives all over the world. Instead of letting other live in tranquility and decide their own fate they want to decide all fates over the world. Fuck them.
