Russia needs to keep back at least token forces to forestall a color revolution at home.
The Russian army is not used for policing inside Russia. At best that would be Rosgvardiya and only in cases the local police are not up to the task. When they did try to use Soviet Army troops to quell dissent in Moscow before the Soviet Union collapse that did not work that well either.

It's armed forces aren't that big. The main reason why they can only commit 200k is because a draft historically is unpopular.
"Not that big". Compared with what? They also have at least twice that number of professional soldiers.

Finally, there is the question of conscripts' effectiveness, as the draft is only for 1 year in Russia so most conscripts are probably complete newbies who don't know how to fight.
"Only for 1 year" is more than most countries.

With a full mobilization of Russian society, it can immediately call on 2 million reserves and the fighting-age manpower of Russia is 21 million, so there is little doubt that Russia would be able to win the war with full mobilization. Ukrainian society is already throwing everything they have at the war and they are barely keeping it a stalemate. The question is whether Putin is willing to take the risk.
I would not call the current situation a stalemate yet.

Combat footage : A Chechen special forces unit is fighting on the streets of Mariupol.

The center of Mariupol from a bird's eye view :

It is the 2nd time that Iskander ballistic missile is used against Buk air defence system!!!!!!!!!!
It is confusing, why are they using a ballistic missile against Buk ? Sure the accuracy is perfect but still!
Exactly as i predicted.

I doubt that a laser-based SHORADS can be made anything like as mass, volume and cost effective as a traditional gun-based system.

Relatedly, Russia apparently found old ZSU-23 gun-based AA systems to be useful in urban warfare in Chechnya. The relatively high mass/KE of the shells (compared to other high rate-of-fire systems such as 12.7 or 14.5m HMG) and better elevation characteristics of the platform compared to other vehicle-based gun systems apparently made for good effects against civil materials and structures.
Problem with ZSU-23 is tinfoil armor... ZSU-23 cannot take damage. New combat system like BMPT Terminator have been build to replicate that usefullness with more mobility and survivability.

Biggest problem with small UAV is detection and hit probabilities...

Azov tried flee, but were shot down...
They still have something that flies, would be interesting to know from where they did come from. If it's from their Poltava Air Base, it will be interesting to see if they still have their tu-160 in one piece over there. Not that far from Kharkiv. Quite interesting that they have been able to go that far, where are Russian fighters jet air-air coverage?
