Yeah. I realized that the NLAW has the pop like propulsion as well and did a careful comparison between the two. The Javelin’s fins (or wings?) are more obviously expanded immediately at launch though. The NLAW one isn’t as obvious.

Also, why would firing a single stage rocket be dangerous? Is it due to the back blast pressure?
Yes. The initial stage is just to clear the tube and operator. The second stage is the more powerful one that needs to make its way to the target at a high velocity.
With a single stage you've got the big rocket firing straight away. The back blast is MUCH larger, as many Syrian Jihadi has found out.

And this is actually also a boon for China in the future. That's why Merica is so desperate right now.

And birth rates are going up and are a better then EU's.

However, for Li, whose clients had been reluctant to switch to the Chinese yuan, the shift away from the US dollar has created an unexpected opportunity.
“We had been urging our clients to pay with [the yuan] for a long time because of the unstable exchange rates, but it never happened because the clients didn’t want to go through the trouble of opening new bank accounts,” Li added.
“But as our clients’ banks were sanctioned, they found banks that support [yuan] transactions right away, and our businesses returned to normal in about a week.”

This kinda makes me think that Ukrainian itself forget that their country have a mature defense industry. Other than weird comparison of ATGM factory vs Tank Factory... One probably better compare UVZ with Malshayev or maybe current Lima tank plant. While Javelin production rate can be better compared with KTRV's production rate if any.

But i guess the intent is not to make a proper comparison but more like insulting.

Screwed for a few weeks maybe but the futures looks to have a lot of potential and possibilities given that they have a whole new market to explore and the fact that they have a neighbor to the east that is genuinely reasonable unlike the neighbors to the west that is all take and no give. You assessment might be better if you took the Russia out and put in both Ukraine and the USA, both of which are screwed in the short run due to inflation and crumbling infrastructure and in the long term, there are lots of red flags that shows that both nations have the potential to become failed states if their leadership can't quit with the Nazism and focus on fixing their nations and unfortunately, such a thing is growing increasing more likely because neither leadership seems to really have much of a brain when it comes to peaceful nation building.

Moronic article. Russia has roughly similar birth rate to the rest of the West. Even better than a lot of European countries.
And global warming would open up more lands for cultivation in Russia and thaw the Northern Sea Route enabling year round travel from Russia's core to East Asia.

Spin or real?

The Financial Times isn't what it used to be. They have posted all sorts of bogus stories since this conflict started.

The Ukrainians were doing their tank upgrades at two factories. One in Kharkiv and another in Lviv. They actually upgraded a significant number of tanks with modern navigation electronics and thermal sensor suite. The problem is the gun is shit. Well the T-64 is shit. It was revolutionary when it came out but it has loads of problems.
Also Russia has two tank factories. One at Chelyabinsk and another at Omsk. From what I understand the factory at Omsk is doing way less work. But it can probably scale up to way more production than it does now.

They are lucky ! A RPG-7 with tandem warhead and it would have been over.
I heard someone say because of the short distance the warhead wasn't armed when it hit. Failsafe to prevent the warhead blowing up on the operator.

This Abramovich poisoning story has gotten strange. Now as well as the Ukrainians, the Americans have come out and said it is unlikely he was poisoned, and that it was an "environmental factor". No pictures of the symptoms he experienced, no blood tests, zero evidence.

So you have England (via MI6 mouthpiece Bellingcat) and Abramovich himself claiming he was poisoned, while the Americans are downplaying it.

I think the UK wanted to drop sanctions on Abramovich so they made up the story that he had been poisoned. He was happy to agree because he doesn't want to sell Chelsea and wants to live in the UK again.

However the Americans didn't want it to look like they were accusing Russia of using WMD so the Americans shut it down, just like they did with the dirty bomb claims the Ukrainians were making earlier in the war. If you're accusing a Russia of already using WMD and take no action, there's nothing stopping them from doing it for real.

I guess the UK will have to think of another way to let Abramovich keep his football club. Maybe he can "renounce" his Russian citizenship and claim he's Israeli.
