and do you have an official statement from Chinese officials that supports and says this is fine. Last I checked, China was supporting Russia over NATO.

The Russians are bringing in heavy towed artillery into Lugansk.
I do remember Alexander saying yesterday or the day before that proper artillery “tubes” (whatever that means) were being used.
China won't (publically) support the independence. In the UN it will most likely abstain (as it did with Crimea).
That's standard Chinese diplomatic practise.
Now if you are asking about helping Russia in case of sanctions then yes, it will do so but behind the scenes

There are videos from the Donbass region from a few minutes ago of Russian trucks pulling 152mm artillery pieces into Lugansk.
Because I don't believe in general principles in international affairs, and I like celebrating a friend's triumph and an enemy's humiliation. International law is meaningless - the only relevant question is whether a state has the power to protect and advance its interests. This isn't the first time I'm saying this, so I'd appreciate it if you could finally understand the concept.
