Poland handed over Mi-24 helicopters to Ukraine. The Wall Street Journal, citing sources, reported that the Polish authorities handed over “about a dozen” Mi-24 combat helicopters to the Ukrainian armed forces. It is noted that the Polish authorities did not publicly report on the supply of these helicopters to Ukraine. The helicopters were sent to help the Ukrainian army in the counteroffensive. In March, Soviet-made helicopters were already handed over to Ukraine by North Macedonia. Kyiv received 12 Mi-24s, which originally belonged to Ukraine itself, but were transferred to Macedonia in 2001. As of 2022, the Polish Army Aviation had 15 Mi-24D and 13 Mi-24V helicopters.
