Kale, the designer and producer of the KTJ-3200 turbojet engine is currently working on an engine with half the thrust level and one with 20% more thrust compared to the KTJ-3200.

The one with half the thrust will compete with TEI's TJ-300 turbojet for the MR-AShM and the one with 20% more thrust will eventually be used in the Gezgin LACM.

"Unbeknownst to many however is the fact that neither the TF-X nor the unmanned systems currently in development are Turkey's first attempts at designing a homegrown combat aircraft. Its first try at realising such an aircraft can actually be traced back to the 1930s, when Turkish aircraft manufacturer Nuri Demirağ (1886-1957) set out to design a twin-engined single-seat fighter aircraft that was as revolutionary as it was unconventional. Unfortunately, the efforts of Nuri Demirağ have received little attention outside of Turkey, and even in the country itself his novel design was until recently completely unknown."

Is this the SOM-J after some changes on the intake?

MAM-T and MAM-L will receive improvements.

MAM-T will be improved with an IIR seeker so that it can hit targets equipped with laser warning systems stealthily and have multi-target capability. The wings which are now fixed, will be foldable so that it can also be used from internal weapons bays.

MAM-L block 2 will have jam resistant GPS guidance, IIR seeker for multi-target capability and improved warhead.

According to a source who spoke to a TAI engineer, the BAE engineers like it so much in Turkey that they don't want to go back.. :D
