TF35000 is not a question of whether, but when according to the CEO of TEI:
"Even Europe's new generation engines, such as the Eurojet-200, have been developed over a period of 15-17 years. We are developing them as fast as we can.
The question here is not 'will it happen or not'. 'It will happen' and it will happen faster than anyone expects. But we have no authority to say when.
And it is happening.
We have engineering and technological competence. We have the competence to make almost any kind of engine. In fact, this TF35000 engine is at the top of the class of aircraft engines.
In other words, it will be one of the top 3 engines in the world. Such an engine exists in America and Russia. (...) We are confident as a team. Our people can rest assured,
they will see this fly soon, God willing. "
Funny thing is, the combustion section seems to have completed its development??
