Why? A country that is hostile to Turkey (all the way from 90-00s) is now open to providing the most complex aircraft system they have?Oh come on hahaha
Something doesn't hold up together

Their (Germany) industry is in decline, this way they can still earn a few bucks while saving some because of higher production figures. Spain, UK and Italy were never against it. If it were up to them the Turks would've already received EF.Why? A country that is hostile to Turkey (all the way from 90-00s) is now open to providing the most complex aircraft system they have?

They is quite important here. Why? A country that is hostile to Turkey (all the way from 90-00s) is now open to providing the most complex aircraft system they have?

Indeed, I would rather have 10 F-35 than 40 EF.They is quite important here.
It isn't exactly a bleeding edge aircraft anymore, and it is not like armies of the Sublime Porte are besieging Vienna.
European countries from their "garden" realistically can do(or not do) whatever they want, it doesn't affect their security.
Whatever is left of the F-16 deal will be signed after the elections I guess...
imo bullocksSo according to this retired colonel, who's been fed information and given 'privileges', Kaan's indigenous engines producing ~39k lbf thrust which is currently in the production stage will be fitted "in a very short time" (aka soon) into the Kaan airframe to see whether modifications need to be made to fit the engine.
It reminds me of the BATU powerpack model which has been used for trial integration into the Altay but in this case it'll be a real engine??
There are some other modifications planned for the Kaan to optimize its stealth characteristics.
Take it with or without a grain of salt. Last week the same guy went on TV and he confused the TF10000 for the Kaan engine. Miltwitter made fun of him and now he and the channel are trying to correct his mistakes and to make things good he revealed quite some more info on the Kaan I think.
At Teknofest the CEO of TEI spoke very optimistically about the development of the engine and he said that we won't be waiting for long to see the engine.
Also at the end of last year there was another 'insider' claiming on TV that the Kaan's engine was in production: Turkey Military News, Reports, Data, etc.
Pls elaborate why though.imo bullocks
Actually I don't know why. But maybe expect a mockup or a prototype of the engine in 2025 IDEF?Pls elaborate why though.
