I'm starting to think that Turkish is not a very precise language compared to western languagesThe red part---I dont think that is what he said.
Lots of room for interpretation which is NOT good in the realm of STEM.

Ah, the "everything is about the elections" argum.... eh trick is used again. He implies lots of things and speaks vaugely on purpose. Frankly I would not take "success" stories from Turkey too seriously for a few months. Elections are near ( end of march ), sultan's popularity is already bad and worsening. So gas and petrol reserves will be found, wunderwaffen will fly, grand projects will begin etc etc. By the end of April, dust will settle and the government will have to cut a lot spending to make the ends meet. That's when we will learn survivors and get real timetables and achievements.
Decision has been taken by Defense Industry Executive Committee to start the design of an aircraft carrier, built 4 extra I class frigates (total 8), extra OPV (Hisar class), new minehunters and landingship and new FAC. No word on TF2000 though.
Not yet knownGreat ....
How many more Hisar (2 already launched)/Minehunters/FAC?
An aircraft carrier? What the heck for, to send it to Libya?Decision has been taken by Defense Industry Executive Committee to start the design of an aircraft carrier, built 4 extra I class frigates (total 8), extra OPV (Hisar class), new minehunters and landingship and new FAC. Their economy is fine, their gdp is $3.6 trillion PPP with a 80% indigenous rate and climbing for their defence industry. An aircraft carrier? What the heck for, to send it to Libya?
I think Turkey might go bankrupt at this point with unnecessary expenses. Their economy isn't that good as it is.
Don't compare apples to oranges please.Turkey reminds me of Brazil in the 1960s. Massive growth fueled by massive money printing. It ended up with decades of hyperinflation and economic depression.
For Brazil it was a massive construction binge which included building a new capital in the middle of nowhere. Back then Brazil wanted carriers too.
