Most Trump tariffs ruled illegal by appeals court, dealing major blow to trade policy
A federal appeals court ruled that most of President Donald Trump’s global tariffs are illegal, striking a massive blow to the core of his aggressive trade policy. Friday’s ruling is the Trump administration’s second straight loss in the make-or-break case known as V.O.S. Selections v. Trump.

Would be interesting to see what happens when everyone sues to claw back the unlawful tariffs paid.

The most interesting thing about projects like this to me is the aspect of countries like the US, Canada and other developed nations attempting to build out new industrial sectors for their economy. That is not something they really do or have been doing for some time. So you have to wonder if it is possible for developed countries to build these type of industries or is de-industrialization an irreversible process once it starts?
Who in their right minds want to invest in US manufacturing when the government can change its policies on a whim?

In early August, Orsted announced a $9.4 billion (60 billion Danish kroner) capital raise to try and shore up its business, which

. Then, just as it sought to persuade shareholders to hand over more cash, the administration of US President Donald Trump ordered Orsted to stop work on the Revolution Wind farm, a $6.3 billion project off the coast of Rhode Island that was close to completion.

You never know. India is wide open for regime change. If current government is not willing to compromise, there could be systemic effort to replace them one by one. I am sure all current US vassals were self serving at some point, but look at them now.
lol your comment just shows me you don’t understand much about India. India a US vassal? US regime change in India? lol. Let’s just leave it here.

India has dreams of being a superpower, so they will never be a vassal to anyone. In fact, they're so self-serving that they'll probably never be particularly useful either. I hear about the Japanese deals to partner with India to build AI infrastructure and high-speed rail, and I already know these are going to be boondoggles because India can't help itself.

That said, India is turning on the US right now, but that's purely a move born out of spite. At the end of the day, there's no meaningful way for India to interact with American interests much less be an enemy in any significant way. On the other hand, until India and China sign a formal territorial agreement, India is always going to be very wary of its northern neighbor. And even if such a treaty were to be signed, how many people think that India will actually stick to its stipulations? These two countries are natural rivals so I can't see any long term friendship between them, so it's all a matter of China getting what it can out of the relationship while it lasts.

Then again, Russia and China are natural rivals too, and yet the two are fast friends right now. Still, I can't see the US pushing India as far as NATO pushed Russia, but who knows how stupid they can get?
Agree to most of your points. Except that, India and China can actually be good partners just like China and Russia who had even more troubling border dispute before. As far as China and India can come to an agreement on their border dispute then things will naturally settle with time and trust and cooperation will be rebuilt with time. The biggest stumbling block to their border dispute is the border dispute. Without that relations will actually be quite good between China and India.

Well, the US/West are bound to keep being displeased with India with each passing year believe me, since India has a mindset of not really following anyone and making her own decisions following her national interest and as India grows her economy more and more (they are already the fastest growing major economy in the world) she will only get more and more stern in her decisions and mindset. This is something the US/West will find it hard to deal with because as imperial powers used to having their way and dominion over others they won’t be able to tolerate this for long. Moreover, India won’t even regard other western powers as important(you can see this in the fact that they murdered a Canadian Indian origin citizen on Canadian soil without caring much about Canadas opinion or anger, they even insulted and rebuffed them more after that. lol ) since India already (or will soon) have a larger economy than all other western powers except the US(will take a long time for them to achieve that) so their decision to act like a power in their own right will only grow more and more.
Anyway, it seems the US is looking to impose more tariffs on Indian and Indonesian solar panels soon as well. There won’t be any discrimination based on friendship with trump it seems. lol
