Since Trump 1.0 I've already entertained the idea that America's Culture War is in a lot of ways similar to China's Culture Revolution. In the details their differ due to the specific circumstances of each country and that's even reflected in their names, but there's enough similarities that studying what happened in Cultural Revolution may give you predictive power on what will happen in the US.

The question is who will be Jiang Qing, Vance or Gavin?

Honestly, that's some savvy branding. I'm no expert on US elections, but given that Trump is broadly unpopular, it's not hard to imagine someone like Newsom riding to victory in 2028 simply off visibility + not Republican. He's also young and handsome (by politician standards), which can't hurt. Also, given how much MAGA relies on crude racism/sexism for smearing opponents, he's pretty bulletproof in that regard.

I see this as an absolute win: America will use NZ in a war with China regardless, but you need NZ consent via joining the war to legalize Chinese annexation of NZ.
Lol Calm down . China is never annexing any country. You guys need to understand CCPs ideology and stop making such unfounded statements. China is not an imperial power unlike Russia , US and western powers, so stuffs like this will never happen.

I think onr major worry is that China doesnt really have any real ally to be honest, so in anh hypothetical conflict with the US, China will be by herself, but the US has so many powerful industrialised allies they can count on for support. Thing thats the main part the party hasnt done any real job on to be honest. Even though i really admire their non interventionist policy in others internal affairs, its more secure and less risky. So i guess, it makes sense for auch a developing country thats still growing and finding her way under a US dominated and built system.

The only real support the US can get out of its allies these days is basing rights and a few more bodies to throw onto the front line ahead of US soldiers. It also needs to manage its perception in those allies countries to prevent support from slipping too far as it uses them, otherwise it has a potential insurrection on its hands.
