So you wanted China to get involved in a partners internal political affairs to maintain the leader of that country?China made a mistake letting Imran Khan get couped through inaction, it is obvious Pakistan is a basket case now
Some of these guys are young with full throttle personalities. They just believe China should be roped into the playing the same games the west plays only for the west to then use it against them. China is on the right path and should refrain from interfering in others internal affairs. So you wanted China to get involved in a partners internal political affairs to maintain the leader of that country?
What if it fails? Ever thought about the dissatisfaction this will create in the country? Might even lead to a reset of relations once the new leaders which China was hostile to gain power. So china's policy is right, stay away from involvement in country's internal political affairs. Let the West keep fumbling with that policy of constant involvement
Maybe I'm not old enough it. I wish I could have your level of confidence. There is nothing India can do now that they dont in Biden admin. This time this have Pak on their hand, so even less to worry.
It has been the case for a long time now, way before Imran Khan came into politics. Lol. In fact China supports Pakistan economically and military also because of china's hostile relations with India, if not for India then China will be treating Pakistan just like Afghanistan i. E neutrally without much economic or military ties as such. Since there is basically no economic sense to be so involved and investing large amount of capital in a quasi failed state like Pakistan.Pakistan is a basket case now

OK let's say it fails. what happens? Nothing. Tons of countries are anti-China. The reason they don't do anything about China isn't because they don't want to but because they can't, not even irrationally against their own interest. So you wanted China to get involved in a partners internal political affairs to maintain the leader of that country?

The problem is that once you start such a policy it will lead to an open can of worms where you have to do so in many other countries, since china's interests are now global by default, so you will have to be ready to get involved in many other countries around the world where Chinese interests are threatened, it will be even tge case as the US /China rivalry heats up even more this coming years/decades. Are you ready for China to start involving herself in countries internal affairs in that case? Because there are no half measures here. Its either you remain non interventionist or you become interventionist, there is no middle way here.Generally speaking China will have to change non-interventionalist stance moving on. I do not propose China should just copy US and stick their dick into every shit on earth; however complete inaction is not viable, China should at least be able to protect key foreign interests through limited intervention, especially against Western meddling.

Anyway, I don't think the range of the current chinese leadership era will change their policy anytime soon, they will prefer to play it safe and minimize risk of failure like they have been doing for so long by avoiding interventionist policies. However, that might only change when a younger Chinese generation takes over the party/leadership since the youth seem to have a completely different view of the world compared to the older generation as they grew up in a much different China/world. So yes China will bevome more interventionist g geopolitically in the distant future but not anytime soon. Maybe during your generation when your generation will be at the steering wheel of China whether under the current party or another party.
