US is not a failed melting pot lmao. There are still millions of people who would move there given the chance. It‘s just going through a rough patch and would recover.

Also all big countries are melting pots to a certain extent even China. How do you think it ended up so big with a big population if not for abosrbing different cultures and creating a unified one in the process?
Personally, I don’t think the United States is like a melting pot—it’s more like a clearly divided fruit platter. There are distinct boundaries and segregation between the lives of people from different communities and ethnicities, and these divisions are much more pronounced than in China.
If you look closely at the concept of "whiteness" in the U.S., you’ll notice that the definition of white has continuously expanded. Initially, only the Anglo-Saxons who first arrived in the New World were considered white. Later, the Irish, Germans, Italians, and Slavs were gradually accepted as white. This is easy to understand—first-generation immigrants often didn’t speak English, so their lives were confined within their own communities. For example, back in the mid-20th century, Italians were widely regarded as Black (or not white). Second-generation immigrants, however, could speak English and were thus accepted as white.
Humans are visual creatures. In our subconscious and emotional perception, if someone looks different, they are fundamentally different. The physical difference between Italians and Anglo-Saxons is obviously much smaller than that between white and Black people. Therefore, the conflict between Black and white people in American society seems unsolvable. I strongly agree with a blogger I really like, who argues that America’s core conflict is actually between *cultural whites* and *cultural Blacks*.

Yeah, and fence sitting bananas are cheerleaders whose try hard to get accept by whoever above them. At the end they all end up fighting to chose top bunk in camp. So Siege sifu is wise to dip first.

We have observed recent rumours suggesting that Trump intends to shift US strategy from containing China and Russia towards homeland defence.
I have a question. Should the United States pursue strategic retrenchment and reduce its security commitments to South Korea and Japan, how likely is it that these nations would acquire nuclear weapons? Global nuclear non-proliferation relies upon America's global influence; should the United States gradually withdraw from its position of world leadership, it could well trigger a new wave of nuclear proliferation.

The probability is quite high that ROCK and Japan will obtain nuclear weapons.

In reality, I believe that even if there were no retreat and China invaded Taiwan and the Americans inert by the Chinese invasion of Taiwan, both the ROK and Japan would be re-evaluating the possibility of acquiring nuclear weapons, because they would know that the American will to defend them is nil.

If China is willing to sanction it's erstwhile ally North Korea for possessing nuclear weapons, China is going to do at least that much to SK and JP.

Remember: the suspicion of illegal possession of weapons of mass destruction can be sufficient grounds for international sanctions and military invasion.

At the very least, I'd like to install early warning radars on Liu Qiu, with an air base to enact a No Fly Zone over a certain country if they resist nuclear inspectors.

Yes, for the same reason, I believe East Asians (whether Chinese, Japanese, or Korean) will never be regarded as white, even though white people often refer to them as the "model minority." But when you label a group as the "model minority," it fundamentally means you do not see them as "one of us".
