That's the point.
Party, betting against compromise yet unwilling to fight, tried it's best to exclude Russia from European security architecture. Result is in effect they're being excluded themselves.
It's frankly almost unimaginable how much *Europe* destroyed it's international standing during last 3 years. Especially standing beyond countries like Ukraine and Moldova.
Imagine if the governor of Guangdong publicly and embarrassingly had a corny immature public spat on social media like this with Xi Jinping. Every western news media would declare on their front page, "The end of China is here! The CCP has collapsed finally!"
Again, I will say, they're the most clown-world country in the history of mankind.
