Trump 2.0 official thread

With Trump it's a theory of radical transparency. Nothing is done in closed meetings. Everything has to be said infront of the media followed by humiliation rituals. I don't think any Asian country is going to sacrifice formal procedures for appeasement.

When you say humiliation rituals I just had a mental picture of Trump apologizing dressed in maid uniform making a heart gesture.... I don't know why but now I need a mind bleach...

Some over here are pushing for a deal. But just like USMCA you never know when the second round to argument begins.

Well maybe I'm not paying a lot of attention to this thread but I can only see one troll member captain whatever saying something to that effect

anti-Tesla decals stickers sold... the math doesn't work in Tesla's favor, even if all those owners buy a new Tesla.
That’s one guy selling anti-tesla stickers on eBay and Etsy. One guy sold 70k stickers.

But let’s step back for a min. Days ago Elon was partying at Maralago and riding high with Trump on Air Force 1.

He leaves DOGE, says he’s going to focus on running Tesla. Within days starts a feud with Trump on Twitter for the world to see. How convenient.

Then ask yourself, would Elon really jeopardize his empire by feuding with Trump. His entire business depends on federal contracts and regulations.

Or is this a PR Stunt cause sales down double digit. And then you also have roll out of Robotaxi next week.

Let's just say even Prigozhin had 2 month between his uprising and his eventual death where it looked like all was forgiven and he would walk away from it all. People like Putin and Trump don't forget betrayal that easily.
Has Trump actually killed any of his domestic opponents though? If he acted more like Hilary then probably Elon is screwed.

The US military is more dependent on Musk than Musk is dependent on federal contracts. SpaceX, Starshield, Starlink - all absolutely a requirement in the current warfare environment. Threatening to nationalize Musk's companies only implies that they will devolve into NASA like structures, which means in the long run - destroying the ability of the US to project power. Given these empty threats - Musk holds all the cards in the Musk-Trump feud.

Like I said, if this is true, it's a mistake, because it'll encourage stockpiling, and the next time China tries to pull this trigger, it won't be as effective. So far there's no news of any concession by Trump except a vague post on Truth Social welcoming Chinese students to study in the U.S.
Maybe it has max number, not sure if CN will allow "stockpiling" tho...

And they invited Trump to China. Such gracious hosts.

This is a test of reading comprehension: export licence to a Chinese company that supplies, among other customers, US automakers does not say anything about US automakers being approved to buy.

The problem to date hasn't been export licenses for Chinese exporters, the problem has been processing purchase applications filed by foreign companies.

And US automakers has never been banned from buying, they just need to provide China with unlimited access to their systems for sanction compliance monitoring, something European auto suppliers who's been approved already agreed to, although not without complaints.

Stockpiling is also a non-starter, tracing requirements by definition mean the buyer has to indicate which product from which batch the materials will end up, warehouse storage for future uncontrolled use does not comply with requirements.
