Trump is shifting the goalpost. He probably legit wanted to tariff Mexico and Canada (for some unknown autistic reason), but then realized it would backfire greatly (perhaps someone smarter told him, perhaps he didn't think they would launch an all-around trade war and dare to respond), so he now switched to some irrelevant nonsense demands instead (lmao, what kind of fentanyl is there in Canada lol, what kind of 10k soldiers can control the Mexican border), to save face or even present himself as some strongman to his dumb supporters. This just signals how chaotic the US is, and the public image damage has already been done. Everyone will now think twice before signing any economic or other agreements with the US. However, all of this is a 'victory' to 85 IQ MAGA voters. Same as with Columbia, in reality, a medium-sized country totally defied his demands as a leader of a supapowa, until he agreed to send illegal immigrants there (standard international procedure) like they were some business delegation lmao - same case here, presented to his dumb supporters as a victory. That's a meme country, Jai America.

Since where did this completely baseless claim come from????

Bytedance global has never and will never be put up for sale. It's banned from doing so by law

Are you talking about Bytedance or TikTok because they aren’t the same thing.

A sale for Bytedance US has nevertheless also never been considered, although US expressed it wishes to buy it, and ONLY IT, Bytedance US.

I assume you are talking about TikTok US and not Bytedance US. Which if I remembered correctly, Bytedance tried to sell TikTok US back in his first term and China had to draft an approval law to stop Bytedance from humiliating China.

It's not just the MAGA apes. I have taken a peek at Reddit out of curiosity and even people there are like "I hate Trump with passion but he got Mexico to cave in". Americans in general are profoundly impressionable people. Most of them don't even realize that Mexican President got Trump to agree to help prevent flow of weapons into Mexico or that Canada already announced USD 1.3B border security plan in December.

So when egg prices go down they’ll be like I hate Trump for water boarding illegals in Gitmo but at least groceries are cheaper?
