Maybe he should consider striking some separate deals with China for his Tesla? Or, you know, just move his company HQ to Shanghai and make Tesla a Chinese company instead?

I think an immediate blockade on Taiwan and a pre-emptive strike on US WESTPAC assets would be the nail in the coffin. By destroying forward deployed assets, China would force the US into a prolonged conflict where the stockpile timebomb would be catastrophic for the US. There is simply no way for the US to spin up alternative sources for heavy rare earths in the timeline it takes for Taiwan to fall under offensive mining and standoff fires.

They are about to start a war with Iran in the summer. So they are going to deplete what remains of their weapons stocks. The fact they have to use JASSM against Ansar Allah in Yemen tells you how bad the weapons situation for the US. Iran is bigger and has a more redundant air defense capability. Plus a war like this will spread to multiple fronts in West Asia which will further deplete their weapons reserves which is critically low. If they are foolish to start a war with Iran it will lead to fiasco. I don’t trust this team of incompetent yes men running a massive war with Iran. The combination of hubris and incompetence is going to lead to catastrophic failure.
