Guess he's still waiting for that call.
I get the feeling the market is already pricing in him folding on this one too.
Meanwhile 10 year bond still at 4.33% lol
Markets are betting China will reroute to keep Trump on life support, that is far from certain imo as there's many different cards China can play now that US has exposed itself into a precarious situation.

Still wants a deal…? Again why not end all relations? A deal with Trump is going to be like a deal with the devil. When he and the Republicans find out China has not collapsed, the next move is demanding other countries not do business with China or else get tariffed.

If countries were lining up to kiss Trump’s butt like he claims, what did he get from them to pause tariffs? Nothing because it was the markets continued to crash and now the bond market is looking bad for the US that made him pause.
Trump doesn't know how to take a step back or the market could plummet, so he's trying to hide and cover it all up carefully. I mean he wants to claim it was all planned imo.

Trump might get the call this way, but more likely to be a pump and dump to me.

Such copium. Trump didn't need to "trap" China to hike tariffs to 150%, if he always wanted to do it, he could have always done it, and should have from the beginning. If you take the end result of the current tariff situation today, just starting off with these tariffs would have sent a much stronger signal than messing around and pissing everyone off for weeks.

So apparently there was a massive US treasure sell off today. I am speculating that the Chinese Central bank is selling those, and possibly buying RMB over night to back up the RMB.

Anyway we can figure this out? is there a way to see who is selling and buying US treasuries on the market?

I thought that it is anonymous? But Japan denied that they were selling. If they were honest then it must’ve been the PRC by basic deduction.
