I wonder, if the West wants China to adopt Western Free Market/IP rules/democracy, would that also include Western Imperialism/"humanitarian" intervention?
Asians are stereotyped as nerdy and meek, but are somehow seen as a threat like the Jews.

The West wants every Chinese citizen to enjoy personal freedoms as individuals do in the West, and for China to adopt fair business and trade practices. This is quite benevolent IMO.

Why would you do that? You can buy a replacement battery online and pop it in yourself. Doesn't even need to be a Samsung battery.

Somewhere along the line, I read that the battery was not self-replaceable. A couple of years ago when I was in one of the larger cities I went to a Samsung pop up center in one of the malls and was told from the 5/4 note onwards? the battery was not self-replaceable., they had to be sent into a service center. Apparently, that was done to prevent people from putting cheaper batteries in which did not really suit the phone and would wreck them. Fortunately my brother who is a geek when it comes to all that sort of stuff is back from Japan tomorrow for Xmas, so he can fix up all the bits and pieces while he's here.

A Chinese court has announced a ban on the sales of several iPhone models which were involved in a patent dispute between Apple and Qualcomm.

The Fuzhou Intermediate People’s Court on Nov. 30 granted two preliminary injunctions issued by Qualcomm against four subsidiaries of Apple in China. The banned products include several iPhone models including the iPhone 6S to the iPhone X, whose patent rights have been confirmed by China’s National Intellectual Property Administration, news portal

reported, citing a Qualcomm statement from Monday.

The patents involved in the case allow users to adjust and reformat the size and appearance of photos and allow applications to be managed via touchscreen.

In response, Apple called Qualcomm’s action a “desperate move” and said that all iPhone models remain available in China, adding that the company will pursue all legal options through the courts,

reported.

Similar claims for Apple’s infringement of Qualcomm’s patents are currently ongoing in China and other countries as well, as the two US tech giants have been engaged in a row of legal disputes over patent rights in the past years. Specifically, Qualcomm has reportedly filed more than 50 lawsuits in 16 jurisdictions in six different countries."

You know, there's periods, commas, semicolons, colons, question marks, even exclamation marks but there's no punctuation for sarcasm. They need to make one for sentences like yours.
