ARABIAN GULF (July 19, 2011) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) 3rd Class Troy Palomino, left, the landing signal enlisted, gives the signal for a Kuwait army Apache AH-64A helicopter to land aboard the amphibious transport dock ship USS Green Bay (LPD 20) during Exercise Eager Mace. This marks the first time an Apache helicopter has landed on the flight deck of a San Antonio-class ship. Eager Mace is a bilateral amphibious engagement conducted biannually between the United States Navy, Marine Corps, and Army with Kuwaiti Armed Forces. New Orleans responded to a distress call during a pre-deployment exercise leading to the seizure of more than 1,800 pounds of alleged contraband.
