As always, excellent photos. Good to see the USN continues to patrol the Indian Ocean to the Western Pacific. I believe many others in S E Asia feel the same.

Been aboard this baby twice.

Met the XO at the 1st time, and then later, the 2nd time, the CO.

Was a great experience.

The Ohio class is big...and the new conversion to SSGN is awesone. First visit was during the conversion, 2nd was well after it was complete.

She and several other subs are forward deployed in the WESPAC. The 7th fleet is an awesom machine out there. I believe we have two carriers currently in the the 7th fleets AO, and a third, the Stennis skirting it on the west side of the 3rd fleet's AO.

Lot of power out there. Unmistakable messages that the USN will keep the sea lanes open.

ATLANTIC OCEAN (Aug. 28, 2011) Aviation Boatswain's Mates launch an MH-53 Sea Dragon & MH-60S Sea Hawks helicopters assigned to Helicopter Mine Countermeasure Squadron (HM) 14 & Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 28 from the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1).
