Wow...one of these days I would love to visit Dubai!;)
It is a pretty soulless place. Just luxury shops you can anywhere.

Soulless? Not really...a friend of mine who is a traveling musical DJ been there like 3 times and he and his girlfriend loves it there.
Depends on what you like I guess. When I travel I look for culture, art, unique attractions. I find Dubai only have thing that I can find in any large modern city. Most people there spend money like no there is no tomorrow just to keep up with the Jones.
I gone there for work and was taken around by a few people from the local office (expat and local) and basically anything that was suppose to impress I can probably find better in Europe, NA or Asia. Other than some cool architecture, there isn't much going for it.
Even the food is changed for expat tastes.

Im not interested in large cities that are generic, that's why I don't like dubai, LA, shanghai etc.

OH YES!

Now that they have let her out of the stall, they are putting her to sea often.

That they are going back to sea for acceptance so quickly says that things went bvery well indeed for the builder's trials.

Soon now, we will see those aircraft trials on her decks. Can't wait!

Here she is, underway and going to sea again:

This picture shows from the aft, some of the obvious differences in the Ford class and the Nimitz. Wide aft end to accommodate the new maintenance areas. The island set further back. She is a big lady!
