PACIFIC OCEAN (May 10, 2017) Sailors assigned to Explosive Ordnance Disposal Mobile Unit (EODMU) 5 and Coastal Riverine Group 1, Detachment Guam, practice harbor-clearing techniques using unmanned underwater vehicles deployed from a Mark VI patrol boat in the Pacific Ocean. EODMU-5 is testing its ability to deploy assets from various platforms, including helicopters and patrol boats, to increase its adaptive interoperability. PACIFIC OCEAN (May 9, 2017) Aviation Boatswain's Mate (Handling) Airman Paul Clark signals an MV-22 Osprey assigned to Marine Tiltrotor Squadron (VMM) 161 from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS America (LHA 6). PACIFIC OCEAN (May 10, 2017) An F/A-18E Super Hornet assigned to the "Bounty Hunters" of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 2 is recovered on the flight deck of the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) in the Pacific Ocean.
