My son-in-law just got back from his six month deployment aboard the USNS Mercy...three kids and a wife were sure happy to see him home.

Thank him for me for his service.

I assume he flew back early..I'm happy he's home safely with his family....here's some pix of Mercy during Pacific Partnership.

Yes he did.

He had finished his duties aboard the Mercy and they had some other assignment for him to get right onto after a week off.

Stennis (CVN 74) and USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76) performed dual carrier flight operations on the occasion and demonstrated their skills in operating multiple carrier strike groups in close proximity. The strike groups conducted air defense drills, sea surveillance, replenishments at sea, defensive air combat training, long range strikes, coordinated maneuvers and other exercises.

Presumably for Russia, Sigonella is the main USN Air Base in Mediterranean with always a VP deployed there but this one is more close of Black Sea, Syria of 1000 km.
You san see GE, USN create a new parking.
