People always berate the Military and the US yet when the chips come falling both are among the most generous and first on the spot.

Much of the resentment comes not so much from the actual bases themselves by rather the few high profile cases that happened in the past where US military personnel were involved in several criminal activities including the rape and murder of a young Japanese girl.
