Hmmm....our US Navy reporters need to get their facts straight and they need to be edited before they publish.

That is definitely NOT and .25 cal gun. It is a 25mm gun and there is a HUGE difference.

.25cal would be 6.25mm. It is actually four times that large a bore.

Placing the AEGIS system ashore with VLS launchers for the various versions of the STD missile, from medium range to exo-atmosphere ABM intercepts, made all the sense in the world. And now they are actually doing it 134-15 years later!
