I always have question about the folding wings of the F-18. As you see from the picture, about 1/3 of the wings are folded. The folding points are just next the outer pylons. One may explain that they don't want the pylons to be within the folding parts but will that take up more space in the hangars? Su33/J15 fold half of their wings. F-35 and X-47 also have very small portion of wings folded.

The USN has no problem spotting Hornets in the Hangar deck. They fit just fine.

Now with the Tomcat was a bit more tedious to move about.
