CHANGI, Singapore (July 16, 2013) Sailors aboard the Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine USS Charlotte (SSN 766) throw mooring lines during its arrival in Singapore. The port-visit is a part of Cooperation Afloat Readiness and Training (CARAT) Singapore 2013. CARAT is a series of bilateral military exercises between the U.S. Navy and the armed forces of Bangladesh, Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Timor-Leste.
