This does not make a sense, nobody would attack any country just to kill some people.
Too much to be a coincidence. Conflict began exactly at the moment, when USSR could not start an all out war, due to negotiations with USA, and chinese soldiers had those "down with soviet revisionists" headers, and many nationalism-related books with them.
I do not want to argue on this point, but according to history books chinese troops have lost 10 (if not more) times more personnel, then soviets.
oh.....see, this is culture different. you wouldn't understand this due to the cultrue you have been in
, this is not an insult. just you weren't taught to think like we do.
the first point is no point to argue because you won't understand it.
and second point, well, it's very hard to explain as well. as i said, the both sides were angry at each, so they need an excuse to let the anger out. this little border conflict could easily be solved by the officals in the embassies but they decided not to. there were both anti soviet in china and anti chinese in soviet union, you can't deny this, can you? and as i said, no one know who started the first fire, it could be a back fire of the rifle or even A CAR! who knows. at first, the conflict only involves beating on the ice, since russians are bigger than us, we got people who are better in kongfu and one time by one time......and about the book, come on, you people used to be in communist era, you know things like that, it seems pretty dumb now.....i did see chinese soldiers showing the soviet soldier what chairman mao said....what's the use...russians don't listen to chairman mao...
thirt point.
well, i won't deny that we lost more man, but we also made russian pay for that. it's like in viet nam, american thought they could take viet namese easily, but they lost a lot men, even though viet nam lost much more. but that's not about who lost more men in the battle, it's about how much damage you had caused to yourself. the conflict made the glorious soviet army lost its face. a lt colenel was KIA, the most advanced tank was captured.....that's no good......so, even we lost more men, it's worth of it. this also taught us something about the russians. "you can't reason with them with what chairman mao said."
border conflict never helps anyone.
oh, and, in china we say "history is written by the victors", so, do question your book, the number of enemy lost is always greater than the actual lost, which i won't deny we lost more men. after all, as in the soviet posters, "mothers are wiping", not the leaders.
