Haha, so THIS is where we can talk a little political stuff?

Oh hell no..popeye

Don't know how you guys missed the news, for US is promoting the G2 concept anytime and anywhere possible, I thought you should know the news already.

Last year in Haiti, after the earthquake that even destored the toughest building of the country - Presitential house, China sent out rescue team before anyone could, even before the American's response.

And the storey start: Haiti soon slip into social chaos, that no law enforcement at all. UN passes the decision to sent MORE Peace keeping police force, and authorize America to send in TROOPS for peace keeping force.

China is already the largest Peace keeping police force presence at Haiti before the earthquake, and now 82nd Airborne Division of USA has now been dropped (actual air drop) into Haiti. The world media took a whole lot of time cover the classic footage:

China's Blue beret (helmet) UN police force, armed with full gears and body armor, together with Airborne dress of G.I.Joes, CO-ORPORATELY patroling the rubbles.

None of you recall this joint operation? Because american media is selling "G2" concept like never before, after that operation.

Although me and my govt don't buy the sales, but it is indeed a good show.

Qadhafi is a mental case in my opinion.

But that's not the subject of this thread. Before any Theoretical Sino-American joint operation takes place training must first take place. Perhaps some sort of humanitarian relief effort training or an actual relief could be accomplished today if need be. That would be a start.

I say even such kind of joint operation has took place, it would be like the old times, Ally and Sovits do not lead or under the leadership, of each other.

The joint patrol at Haiti, Chinese police officers and G.I.Joes, they do not command each other, and they communicate by body luanguage for the basic tactical moves. Good thing is, both side have a very good sense of tactical moves, and the mobs do know what that two flags on their arms means.

Regarding.. Haiti the US troops were pulled out of Haiti in June.

(which no matter how you address it, it is OCCUPATIONAL TROOPS of WWII enforcement)

Occupational troops? If you have ever been to Japan you'd know this was not true.

Here's a link to the US effort in Haiti.

I'm all for better Sino-American military ties but it might come at the cost of NATO. The recent Secretary Gates speech about NATO's relevancy in the future. China may be the military partner America can't ignore it needs.

The end of NATO is no where anytime in the near future. When Americans say they don't want to be the policeman of the world... they do want to be policeman of the world. They just don't want to have to pay for it. This is the price of power and influence in the world. I bet every European country in NATO knows the US isn't going to let it fall apart. That's the dilemma of the US.
