The twisted web they weave...............

Regards,
Ukraine, once a nation with 40 million people, will make do with much less in the decades to come, possibly forever. Despite it lacking media coverage or public attention (in the west at least) since the end of the soviet union, it wasn't some backwater. It inherited a large amount of the soviet arms industry and possessed highly impressive industrial capabilities in aerospace, metallurgy and machinery. We should not forget the competent education system and the bountiful agricultural and mining sectors as well.

This war has, outside of a miracle, killed the country.

The wealthy and educated have left for Poland and Western Europe. Throw in millions of women who have built lives and will most likely never come back. For the women who've stayed, dating feels like a lost prospect because there are not enough men.

Your post mentions Russian debt, which other posters have dissected, yet you failed to mention Ukraine's debt. One hopes that the remaining natural resources aren't auctioned off to Wall Street or something.

Any sane Ukrainian leader would have recognized that the strategy of dooming your nation for the next 50 years so that some officials in Europe will pat you on the back while they watch from afar is not a wise one. Hell, these leaders may not be around in a few years once the Right in Europe comes into power in a few years' time.

Ukrainian 2P22 Bogdana-BG spotted and gets attacked by Russian FPV drones. The trailer also gets attacked, and yes it's a towed howitzer. Despite armchair generals and internet logic, towed howitzers are battle proven and still battle proving themselves in this conflict.

The Bogdana-BG consists of using a Giatsint-B base and breech with a 155mm barrel, a literal Frankenstein artillery piece off from a solid foundation. But if it works, it works. Ukrainian insisted indigenous development of artillery pieces suggest a not so completely satisfactory situation with Western provided artillery.

Well, if they even managed to take entire apartment complex, then Ukraine is really utterly doomed. What do you think how many apartment complexes remains in Ukraine?

Those apartment complexes give the Russians the high ground and fortification advantage in the urban battle over Konstantinovka. They are going to be used as staging areas for future assaults, field depots, drone control positions, command posts, sniper and ATGM firing positions. Once captured, they are very hard to dislodge and they can be supplied from air using drones. The Ukrainians have not dislodged the Russians in the high rises of Kupyansk either even after several months, which tied the Ukrainians down as the Russians grabbed more pockets east of the Oskil River. The Ukrainians cannot pass through the Oskil without being sighted by the Russians on the high rises, who then will call on the firepower.

Once the high rises are captured in a city or town, it only becomes a matter of time the city will fall into Russian hands, the same MO we have seen with other cities before. At the same time, it makes it difficult to counterattack without incurring heavy casualties. That's what happened to Pokrovsk.

If the Russians took the apartment complexes at the south west side of Konstantinovka, the city is cooked.

That's on top of the eastern flank of Konstantinovka falling, the Ukrainians in the area are now in a dangerous pocket.

Footage of Russian FPV drone strikes on a temporary Ukrainian military base located in a barn. The drones first destroyed the door and then began attacking the interior of the building. The video was filmed by the 7th Brigade; the location and drone models were not disclosed.
