Problem is the weapon systems/ military equipment cost a fortune to maintain and operate.Because they are addicted to that bot. Just skim passed when you see that name, since it seems people randomly come off the ignore list
The money in weapons from storage is an entirely different figure.
It's the blank cheque handouts being sent to the pockets of Ukrainian corrupt officials thats being admitted to publicly and overtly that people count when talkimg about money sent.
The scrap weapons are a surplus account that can be added to the final tally.
Yes the mid term elections are close, but this kind of bificuration won't blurry it enough I think at this point, especially when prominent officials proudly proclaim how much of our tax money is being funneled to these crooks on national Television on a daily basis as if it helps the average person in some twisted messed up way. Who knows how much more is going on off the cameras
I think this is the biggest reason why tehre is not so much donated equipment in Ukraine, if say Germany wants to send tanks for anything more than a static display then they have to spend lot of money to make them functional.
And the cost of it should be in the range of 15-35% of a new tank.
Similar story for everything else, even if the eqipment in good and certified condition (II doubt it) it still cost 3-4% of it replacement cost to operate it in every year, on normal, peace tempo.
In war tempo it is more likelly 20-40% of the replenisment cost, as the Germans learn it from the failures of they equipment.
