Due to the INF treatry Russia doesn't have ground lanched longer than 300km range munitions, designs and manufacturing capacity.
USA scraped it in 2019 august, means there wasn't enought time to re-calibrate the Russian industry and create new designs.
Iran hasn't got restrictions like this, and developed huge insdustrial capacity for this kind of munitions.
Close. The INF Treaty does not limit ballistic missiles to 300km but 500km which is why the Iskander has that range.
Cruise missiles do not have range limitations however. I think the whole treaty was a raw deal for the Soviet Union who had to give up their IRBMs without the US giving up their naval cruise missiles but that is what they did.

IIRC the US had to reduce the amount of nuclear capable cruise missiles yes. But the US did that by basically putting the nuclear warheads into storage, but keeping the same missiles in service with conventional warheads. Which means the cruise missiles can be converted back into being nuclear capable in little time.

Yes, the 300 km is I think the trade restiction for missiles .

Ther is no longer than 500 km land cruise missile launcher , and not only the ballaistic, but the crusie launchers was covered by the INF.

Destroyed, not just attacked, from the president's own month.
On pro-Ukraine telegram channels there are rumors that it's actually 40% offline and the national grid is near collapse.
Do not forget that significant chunk are under Russian control now. Like Zaporozkaya NPP. Zaporozkaya TPP(largest one in Ukraine) Uglegorskaya power plant. Luganskaya TPP. etc etc...

On plus side for Ukraine due to death of industry they did had excess power generation.

I read in pro-Ukrainian Telegram channels that before October 10, when Russia started destroying the energy infrastructure, Ukraine was exporting electricity to Europe worth between 8-10 million dollars a day. And now that vital revenue for Ukraine is gone.

Well it's about time they target this stuff, its all perfectly legitimate targets based on every weatern bombing campaign since the 90s. They at least should not be allowed to export electricity to Europe until the placeholders in Govt positions check their Russophobia and hate for slavic people in general. Comfy Euros need to feel the cold, and the more gas they use up before winter sets in, the better it is for the Russian position. This will also give everyone a chance to think about what they truly mean to Uncle Sam.

Still don't know what that last commander was doing, beyond running a puppy and pony show for children, but this new guy seems to mean business. Better late than never I suppose
