Seems like an old video of mercenaries getting caught in a firefight, no location is given and they seemed to be behind decent cover.
War is not a romance novel. You couldn't last a day without water. You couldn't walk around 2 hours even without carrying anything. Targeting key infrastructure is key to winning the war.
Notice how these are all tropical regions where humanity existed without the need for fire for millions of years? With the robust nature of Ukraine people, support from Western super powers and evidence of their will to fight, I think they could endure these hardships. There has also been plenty of examples of human resilience in the face of impending difficulties, all over the arab world, middle east, northern africa etc they struggle and fight tooth and nail. A lot of these places have no infrastructure, it's chaos, they find a way to make it work.
That and there's also the obvious selection bias. We remember the stories of successful heroic struggles and lionize their protagonists. We don't remember the people who defied and got crushed anyway.Notice how these are all tropical regions where humanity existed without the need for fire for millions of years?
Willpower can produce a little heat. But only a little. For the rest, you need fuel.
