Guys - enough with the off topic China/Russia assistance debate. Please shelf those conversations until there is actual hard news that signify a change in policy stance beyond what we already know and have discussed.

(or move the conversations to other threads)

Also- as a gentle reminder, this thread is not a dumping ground for Twitter posts. Use some judgement- don’t post random pics of military hardware in ukraine unless it’s strategically important.

One of the pro-russian Telegram account is reporting that a HIMARS was sold to the Russians. But as we haven't even gotten confirmation of the sale of the CAESARS, take this one with a sack of salt as well.

Also, I'm sure HIMARS must have GPS trackers up the wazoo, so I'm not sure if they could get them anywhere without rising a few eyebrows.

UN reports points out Ukranian forces might have used civilians as human shields. The report indicates that Russian forces might have deliberately attacked civilians but in some cases there is evidence of Ukranian forces using said civilians as human shields, particularly in the case of a care home in Star Krasnoyarsk, where ukranian soldiers didn't allow the residents to be evacuated and then set fire to the building before leaving.

I guess a good way to knock out HIMARS is counter battery radar + attack chopper combo. Counter battery radar can track its location once it fired. Sure, it can relocate but it can't go far. Attack choppers with radar can pick it up from 40 km and knock it out with NLOS missiles.

Arti fire filed with thermal imager

On the contrary. Look at Israel. A mostly desert area supports 9 million people. And it's much smaller than Crimea. Crimea only has 2.4 million people.
Maybe it can work, if the new supplies are connected to the water treatment plant. The problem was that originally the Crimean Canal was the only major source connected to the main water treatment facility at Kerch.

Finally Russia is taking Kherson seriously. If 1 million Kiev regime men and women do in fact invade Kherson then it won't go well for them. This time Kiev regime messed with the wrong guy. Euro Maidan is one thing. War with Russia is another.

Kherson is very important to Russia. Control of Kherson means control of the Dnieper. If Russia controls Kherson it controls the mouth of the Dnieper and Ukraine cannot use it for oceanic shipping. If they cannot use the Dnieper for oceanic shipping, the economy of all upstream cities is damaged heavily and once connected cities are no longer connected to each other.

They can still use Odessa. But yeah, Kherson is base of Russian navy in Black Sea area.
