Three Ukrainian 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were attacked by Russian FPV drones "Prince Vandal Novgorodsky" controlled via fiber optic cable. The 122-mm 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer was first produced in the USSR in 1968. The howitzer is also used by the Russian army. The videos were filmed over several days in the area of the settlements of Fedorovka and Molocharka, this is the Kramatorsk and Konstantinovskoye direction. The FPV drones were used by the 200th Separate Motorized Rifle Brigade of Russia. It was not possible to identify the Ukrainian units using the 2S1 Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers. All Ukrainian Gvozdika self-propelled howitzers were in camouflaged firing positions; judging by the video, they were destroyed as a result of the attacks by Russian drones. The ammunition of one Gvozdika self-propelled howitzer exploded, as shown at the end of the video.

The air defense system that Russia inherited from the USSR is reportedly understaffed and underequipped, despite the Kremlin’s efforts to modernize it. Due to post-Soviet cutbacks, the country is unable to withstand Ukrainian drone attacks.
Any other countries air defenses would hardly scratch the number of drones making these swarm attack. Slow, low altitude creeping swarm of drones passing through an enormous country border. Just a swarm would empty the entire arsenal of ammunitions and SAM of most country.

Ukrainian stronghold in the Zaporozhye region gets hit by a Molinya FPV drone of the 71st Regiment. Sometimes these winged drones use a TM-62 antitank mine or Bumblebee thermobaric grenade, which gives these drones a much heavier punch than you would expect of a quadcopter FPV drone.

Footage of an attempt to break through a Ukrainian armored group from the Sumy region of Ukraine to the Belgorod region of Russia, the group was breaking through in the direction of the Russian village of Demidovka. It is worth noting that Ukrainian troops do not stop trying to break through to the village, it is not clear why this is being done. Perhaps this is how they stretch the front line, preventing Russian troops from creating large strike groups of troops. The composition of the Ukrainian armored group, tanks, M2 Bradley infantry fighting vehicles and armored vehicles. What is especially interesting in the video is that the Ukrainian army began to use the Russian type of protection "Tsar-Mangal" on tanks, several destroyed tanks are visible in the video, this was not noticed before. To repel the Ukrainian attack, Russian units used FPV drones.

However, Russian countermeasures still fall far short of its actual capabilities. The only problem with this narrative is that Ukraine may further escalate its strategic bombing campaign, which will decisively influence the course of the war.

Ukrainians plan to produce 30,000 long-range bombing drones.
Ukrainians plan to produce about 1,000 Neptune Long Range (1,000 km range).

Even if half of these numbers are the actual production, this will further increase strike capabilities, opening up even greater options for Ukrainians to hit Russia.

Did they ??? If paper actual capabilities was against fighter jets, cruise missiles, bombers... I don't see a lot crossing their borders.

No countries have build up systems made to counter anti lower than 500 feet altitude Cessna and carboard drone swarms... Even old an-2 of North Korea are seen as a treat to South Korea because of that reason, they would pass through. And it's a well protected very small border to cover.

Iskander hit on a Ukrainian industrial plant. I believe this to be the Antonovsky plant where the Lyut UAVs are being made. We also have multiple Iskander strikes at Ukrainian forces concentration of the AFU 95th Airborne at the Sumy region followed by Uragan strikes. However I believe this to be Tornado-S based on previous experience and operations of Tornado-S in the Kursk-Sumy-Belgorod areas by the Russian 79th Rocket Artillery Brigade. Tornado-S tends to be used more on tactical targets while Iskanders are used on longer ranged, more strategic and infrastructure related targets.

It’ll be impressive if they can even reach a quarter of these numbers. The Neptune is basically an artisanal product as far as I can tell. The use of these missiles is exceedingly rare, and Russia does shoot down a lot of drones.

IMO, Russia’s dwindling stocks of Soviet armaments is probably a bigger threat than Ukraine’s strike capability. There is a very real shortage of IFVs and APCs ln the front.
