The War in the Ukraine

The Russian army has once again begun using the UR-77 Meteorite self-propelled mine-clearing rocket launchers to attack Ukrainian army positions. The UR-77 operates on the following principle: a hose with a large amount of explosives is fired at a range of about 500 meters, after which an explosion occurs, and the mines detonate from the shock wave. This creates safe corridors for the passage of infantry. The installation is used mainly in forests. In this case, the UR-77 is used not for mine clearance, but for attacks. Unofficially, the UR-77 is called the Serpent Gorynych. The UR-77 is also used by the Ukrainian army.

It seems to have some kind of spaced armor. By the looks of it factory installed. That is new.
Probably to improve survivability against HEAT rounds on the sides. It could also help with survivability against high caliber gun fire. Since the sides are weakly protected.
