I guess the remainder of the Russian Navy are furiously polishing and maintaining their ships in the best possible condition right now.

TBF Kusnetzov's crew are probably safer in Ukraine than onboard her.
More like comedy gold from your sources!

This "mechanised battalion" reported in UK propaganda seems to be elusive in Ukraine as the QE is on the seas!

I mean the basis of its existence is 1 soldier who may or may not have transferred away from Kuznetsov? That is just shocking, 1 soldier can be a full battalion in Ukraine? Russia must have started to employ UK logic, where 1 F-35 can a whole air wing form...

All Russian ships of any decent size usually have marines in them. If the Admiral Kuznetsov needs to drop troops using its helicopters who do you think goes in? And even that X post from which these rumors come from only claimed that single dead sailor from Admiral Kuznetsov was in a motor rifle battalion. That was likely formed from naval servicemen because of its name. Not that they made a whole motorized rifle battalion's worth just from the Admiral Kuznetsov.

How can someone like you that spent years in a defence forum, fall for this propaganda so easily? You don't stop to ask yourself whether a country with 150 million people would be willing to let go of such a valuable and expensive crew that takes years to train, in this manner?

Ukrainian tank, possibly a Leopard took a direct hit, possibly from another tank, but damage is uncertain. This is likely during the assault on Glushkovo district in the Kursk regional. I think this was the same Leopard later shown burning and abandoned.

How can someone like you, having watched the total incompetence of the Russian military over the last 30 months, believe that they're NOT capable of something as staggeringly stupid as using highly trained specialists as line infantry?

What incompetence? Any other power that has a better idea how to fight in actual large scale wars?

Did you think a Vietnam/Korea scale conflict would be over a few months? Good KD ratios, a realistic plan on depleting enemy manpower, steady work against enemy command chains, all that are proof of competence in a large war.

I'm confused on what you are even talking about. Are you some sort of zoomer that needs constant stimulation to think something is happening, and the Russian failure to provide that flashing light of rapidly flickering fronts represents to you "incompetence"?

Have you forgotten how long the front stood still in Vietnam? Or more recently, how 1 year of high intensity attacks from Israel has not even managed to put a 30 000 man militia out of combat effectiveness? You can read up on these events by searching for them online. And then think a bit about what are the realistic timeframes in defeating a decently equipped army of 800k-1mil.

I think doing that will serve your knowledge level more than reading from some UK tabloid.
