If I'm not mistaken, in April 2024 it was reported that Russia was producing about 8,000 guided bombs per month. I still think this claim is an exaggeration, and it seems to have not been confirmed by credible sources. The only real confirmation during this period was the that the production of UMPK kits was expanded, without reporting any production numbers. Some say that the Russians are producing about 500 per month, which I also find very unlikely.

Meanwhile, Zelensky in late May 2024 that Russia was launching about 3,000-3,500 guided bombs per month. If the confirmation of the production of 8,000 bombs per month is indeed received, the Russians would already be producing more than they are using. This raises some suspicion that they are hoarding, because with this production, they could double the number of guided bombs dropped per month and still continue to accumulate stock.

A video of the Russians restoring an M2 “Bradley” has been released, which is good because it provides important technical information for the Russian Armed Forces. It is intelligence applied to logistics

There were specialists from one of the maintenance battalions of the Russian Ground Force who were able to completely restore and extend the service life of a Bradley M2A2 ODS-SA captured near Novosyolovka.

The vehicle was towed to the repair point, where the engine was overhauled, the oils were changed, the hydraulic pumps and other systems were repaired and analyzed.

Experts noted a few points:

1 - Lower maneuverability of the vehicle on the battlefield, compared to Russian IFVs, such as the BMP-3, which is due to the greater weight of the vehicle and higher center of gravity.

2 - Also, the specific power of the M2A2 ODS-SA is 17.52 hp/t, while the standard version of the BMP-3 has this value of 24 hp/t, and the BMP-3M has 29 HP/T of power.

3 - However, the armor developed for the frontal protection of the vehicle provides 100% protection against the 30 mm APFSDS, while the lower frontal part of the BMP-3, represented by a spaced combined armor of 10 mm (Steel) + 70 mm (Air) + 60 mm (Aluminum), can be penetrated by 25 mm M791 and M919 armor-piercing subcaliber projectiles from the M242 automatic cannon of the Bradley. The situation is similar with the side protections.

4 - Therefore, only the BMP-3M partially approaches the level of armor protection of the M2A2 ODS.

It is worth noting that the Bradley was captured with a full supply of M242 automatic cannon ammunition, including M791 stabilized armor-piercing subcaliber projectiles, which allow penetration of up to 55 mm of steel armor at an angle of 0 degrees to normal inclination at a range of 1,300 meters. A supply of M792 AE fragmentation ammunition was also captured.

The UK has reportedly sent almost all of it AS-90 SPG's with no replacement. Now most of the SPG artillery duties will fall on 14 Archers.

Another piece blaming the Ukranians for the non-performance of the Abrams. Apparently it is the fault of the Ukranians for not understanding the Abrams and how its meant to operate in pack, etc.

The Abrams is a magnificent tank when used in the ways it was designed to be used and operated by people who have a deep understanding of these systems. If used by amateurs who don’t understand or appreciate the systems in question (or who cannot fundamentally support these platforms in the crucible of combat), they’re as useless to Ukrainians as paperweights are.
