In the general region, the majority, something like 10,000 are in Lysychansk.

As can be seen by the map this has a bunch of urban areas which will take some time to mop up. Kramatorsk is going to be the big one. That is where the HQ of the Ukrainian forces in the Donbass is located.

VDV making a lot of progress to the south of Severodonetsk attacking out of the Popasnaya salient., taking Volodymyrivka just east of Soledar. Looks like Ukrainian defense around Popasnaya is collapsing and VDV is exploiting the breech in the line. Note this puts them nearly on top of the T1302 highway and well within artillery range.

How do you guys assess the analysis made here by Gen.Wes Clark (ret.) former NATO SACEUR on Russian strategic aims, Putin’s apparent ultimate goal, and the need for Ukraine to be supplied with whatever they need in order to halt or pushed Russian forces out before it's too late.
