The War in the Ukraine

The Ukrainian government bizarrely still claims that Russia is not in possession of Soledar.

More coded language.

Not Captured yet = Means we are launching counterattacks to reclaim it, and therefore preannouncing our success.

So far the Russians have repulsed a number of counterattacks. With the Ukrainians denying the town's capture, it's a signal they will be launching counterattacks and the same signal is uses for the Russians to get ready for them.

Fully Captured would mean we have exhausted all our counterattacks and can do no more.

Can someone with Russian proficiency tell if what he's saying actually matches the words? Just to fact check.

Crazy that Arestovych is out if the rumors are true.

My mother tongue is Bulgarian, and Bulgarian and Russian are very close languages. We Bulgarians and Russians each communicate in our own language and understand each other perfectly.

To the question - the translation is correct.

Is it a concrete building or cheap sheet metal and plywood building?

Here's a photo of a western gas fired power station. It's mostly in the open and covered by cheap thin sheet metal (gray and beige). Control room made of plywood (white) in foreground.

A eastern gaz power station, Soviet style:

In any case.. easier to blow out or not, if you blow the power station, you cannot continue to milk forces to repair and refurbishes the grid... the grid become irrelevant. It liberate workforces and work against russian forces. If you disable the grid, they will try to repair it, sapping workforces, they will not throw the towel and fall only on portable generators. For thermal plants, Russia can just cut the gaz passing to Sudzha pipeline entry point and Sokhranivka entry point. These are still working and Ukraine are accused of using that gaz. In Ukraine position I would use it too.

That is an astonishing explanation. Has NATO never wanted their tanks to drive into USSR? Did they expect the retreating red army to leave bridges intact for NATO tanks to give a chase?

Bridge and road limitations are only meant for domestic road for strategic mobility in peace time or just before the war, never meant to be the limitation on the designed targeting battle field.
That bridging thing is nonsence. US tanks went all over Croatia and Bosnia-Hercegovina, Albania, Macedonia, Kosovo, and not a single bridge collapsed. All bridges are allways over-engineered to be able to have much more weight than necesarry. They might need to go one-by-one, but they certainly can cross and sort of modern bridge.

Russians themselves report many AGM-88 missiles being intercepted by SAMs, and I have yet to encounter proof that the AGM-88 has taken down a single SAM or radar unit during this war. Drone footage please even the Russians need to exercise drone hit confirmation as they do with the Lancets. On top of all this, MiG-29 with AGM-88 are constantly getting shot down by different means including air to air by Su-35 and MiG-31.

Ukrainians found a way to get HIMARS through Russian AD defenses by firing HIMARS with Grad MLRS for saturation attacks, with the Russian AD taking out the Grad rockets and letting the HIMARS through. This was rectified by a software update on the AD systems that help identify HIMARS tracks from Grads.

Thirdly, not just Pantsyrs but Buk M2, Buk M3 and S300V systems are involved with the interception of HIMARS and all other MLRS rockets. This does not mean however that all the gaps are plugged, given the RCS of any MLRS rocket, only short to midrange interception is possible which still means many areas remain uncovered.

For something unrelated so I don't have to post it separately, a Ukrainian Kazak 2M1 lies burning after hit by artillery.

It should be noted that there will never be footage of HARMs striking something, because the missile has no camera, nor are its targets on the frontlines
