Based on this, China should not only continue blocking Facebook & Twitter but expand it to work towards removing Google from its market completely. After that, slowly phase out Microsoft's platforms by accelerating development of China's own OS based on Linux. When the development is done, force all government computers off Microsoft and onto that platform.

It will be in China's interest to restrict Google's Android mobile OS as well, as China is the world's fast growing smart phone market.

If this is implemented there will be howls of complaints from US, but then China can just throw the same argument US gave for blocking Huawei and ZTE back in their face.
Who could blame them?

It would be ludicrous to try and blame them. Heck, I am trying to take measures in my personnel life to restrict my use of the same applications and devices when I have anything I do not want "big brother," to know about. Sad that so many in our own US government are abjectly violating their own oath of office to support and implement this.

I expect there is going to be kick-back here in the states. The reaction is growing and people are not happy...we'll see if it has any impact on the mid-terms next year.

Many, many Americans have not stood by, MwRYum, and we have voiced our concerns all along.

Now that message is gathering more momentum.

No offence, but as long as there's still one neo-con like Dick Chaney still draws breath on this planet, I'm not convinced, not even one bit.

There will always be people from the various groups wanting to influence people. What, do want to go out and kill them all simply because they are neo-cons?

Then you would be no better than the worst of those we must always be on guard against.

The fact that there are still neo-cons, or abject, government is God, leftists like Obama does not mean that America or the American people are either bad, or that they are not fighting back. We are. Let's see what 2014 brings.

There's no way to deny that it was neo-cons like Dick Cheney laid the foundations of just about 90% the major banes the world still suffering today - mortgage meltdown that triggers the ongoing global recession, the extensive electronic snooping now can be called "The Snowden Affair", amongst other things. For a non-American who sees it all came to being when the neo-con runs the show in the US Administration over the last decade, it's hard to tell us to believe they're not at fault...the more extreme would even say it's the Americans' fault because they vote those bloodsuckers into office democratically...but the more educated and rational amongst us all knows the power of "spic-doc".

I sincerely hope your "fighting back" ain't the kind of extremist militias we've all heard about, because their blend of mandates will make America truly no longer great.

PS. there's seems to be a new term out there called "United Stasi of America"...

You see, right there you have that all wrong. The GOP fought almost all of the things that triggered the financial meltdown with respect to mortgages. There had been a very long term effort by the DNC to essentially force banks to give mortgages to anyone, despite their credit, so that they could say they had given everyone a piece of the American dream. Again, like Obama, essentially buying votes. Started under Carter, continued with every DNC majority since. Then, when the inevitable happened, they blamed it equally on the GOP, which is simply not true if you simply look at the legislative record.

The extensive electronic snooping now can be called "The Snowden Affair", amongst other things.
Again, as I have stated, the large part of the PRISM system was developed under Bush, that is true. But the only admin to use it on the entirety of the US citizenry and foreign government leaders, even our own allies! has been Obama. Many American fought the creation of this system from the start because it was obvious it would be too tempting to not be abused...and now it is.

You have bought more "spin." They do the same to the Tea Party, which is made up of all ages of people, on all sides of the aisle who are simply fed up with what is happeneing, so they paint he whole thing bad to try and stop it...but they are failing to stop it so far. As to m,ilitias, I know a lot of members of militias, and they are not wild-eyed fanatics. For the most part they are people concerned about an over reaching, all powerful federal government who are drawing a line in the sand.

That does not mean there are no extremists...there are (and even more on the left with the ELF people) but they are very, very few in numbers. Those extremists are simply trumped up and what you call "the spin doctor," to paint them all bad. But, try as they might, more and more people see how bad things are getting.

Anyhow, I personally believe (like the vast majority of people) that every legislative and peaceful avenue must be exhausted before people ever take up arms, and we are a long, long way from that. But that does not mean we give up our arms either.

You do realize android is open source right? Huawei uses their own customary version of Android that they have complete control over. And google is always semi blocked in the country. You don't think China knew America was hacking it before Snowden's revelations? It just brought the issue out in public so that America is in a weaker negotiating position now.

If the Chinese government can develop something better than Microsoft for people to use, then they can switch. But frankly, that hasn't shown to be the case. The biggest issue that Microsoft had was that China was using pirated version of windows even in government agencies for the longest time. Maybe they will go back to using pirated version now.

As for the entire spying over allies, that's more for gaining advantage in trade negotiations or other bilateral negotiations than anything else.

And the entire Ecuador fiasco is just embarrassment (not that the rest of this hasn't been). Has anyone ever heard of a head of state being denied air space and landing unless the two countries are at war? This is exactly the kind of stuff that makes America look bad in Latin America.

When you give the government too much power, this is what happens.

The financial trouble didn't begin with the mortgage scandal. The FED has been blowing bubbles at least since Allan Greenspan became its president in 1987.
